I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
